This abstract piece marks my return to painting after a two-year pause and my first creation after moving to Copenhagen. The muted grey and white background contrasts sharply with rich red and maroon cherries, reflecting how emotions can appear intense on the surface yet hold warmth and sweetness within. While painting this, I was exploring my own shifting moods and rediscovering my relationship with art. This piece would sit beautifully in a living room, study, or intimate café space where quiet reflection is welcomed.

At first glance, this is simply a fork holding spaghetti — but to me, it represents embracing chaos rather than fearing it. The tangled forms reflect complexity, while the act of holding them shows control and acceptance. Painting this felt empowering and freeing. It works well in modern kitchens, cafés, or creative workspaces.

Hi, I’m Kritika — a Copenhagen-based artist
I paint emotions as they come: unfiltered, imperfect, and deeply personal.
What starts as a feeling becomes colour, texture, and movement — inviting you to pause, feel, and unwind.
I paint from wherever I am emotionally that day. My work is intuitive, shaped by emotions, dreams, phrases I hear, and moments that linger longer than they should. If you feel what I felt while painting, then the artwork has done its job.
